During my tenure as a freelance graphic artist at RedAnts Media Inc., I had the privilege of contributing to a significant project for the USAID Philippines Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) campaign. The project aimed to create an engaging and informative infographic video that shed light on the community-based drug rehabilitation program in the Philippines. My role in this endeavor was to design vector character illustrations.
Designing character illustrations for a sensitive and complex topic like drug
rehabilitation presented a unique set of challenges. It was crucial to strike a balance between conveying the seriousness of the issue while maintaining a visually appealing and non-threatening tone.
To overcome these challenges, I collaborated closely with the project team and the motion graphics editor to ensure that the characters were empathetic and relatable. I designed a variety of vector character illustrations, including individuals seeking rehabilitation, support personnel, and community members.
